Privacy Policy for Created.ai

1. Who is the Data Controller?

The data controller is ContentCreator Ai, LLC, located at 145 E Columbine Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92707. For any privacy-related inquiries or data requests, you can reach our team at support@created.ai.

2. Information We Collect

We treat all personal information covered by this policy as pertaining to individuals acting as business representatives.

A. Information You Provide

• Account Details: An email address is all that signing up requires. You can add your name later in the account menu, and a company name and professional role where the Services ask for them.
• Sign-in Credentials: If you sign in with a password, we store it only in hashed form. If you sign in with an emailed one-time code, the code is stored hashed, expires within minutes and cannot be used again once entered. If you sign in with Google, Google provides us your email address, name and profile picture.
• Acceptance of Terms: The moment you accepted the Terms and Conditions and this policy at sign-up, recorded so we can show when the agreement was entered into.
• Creative Assets: Images, videos, and copy you upload to Created.ai for the purpose of ad creation, modification, and publishing.
• Communication Preferences: Whether you have unsubscribed from marketing emails, and the cookie choices described in section 7.
• Contact Requests: If you reach out through the contact forms on our website, we receive the details you submit there, such as your name, email address, phone number where the form asks for one, and message.

B. Meta Platform Data (via Meta APIs)

When you connect your Meta Ad Account, we access specific data through Meta's Graph API and Marketing API to enable our core features:

• Ad Management & Publishing: Account IDs and permissions required to directly create and publish ads to your Meta account.
• Performance Metrics: Campaign spend, impressions, clicks, and conversion data for reporting.
• Campaign Metadata: Existing headlines, targeting parameters, and campaign structures.

C. Automatic Data Collection

• Usage Data: IP address, browser type, and interactions with our platform to ensure security and site optimization. When a one-time sign-in code is requested we also record the requesting IP address, to stop the feature being abused to send mail to other people.
• Product Analytics & Error Monitoring: Inside the application we collect usage and interaction events, and technical error reports, to understand how the product is used, diagnose problems and keep the Services working. These tools set their own identifiers in your browser and run as part of operating the Services, so they are not part of the cookie-banner categories described in section 7. The providers that process this for us are listed in section 5.
• Necessary Cookies: Always active, because the Services do not work without them. They keep you signed in, give your browser access to the private media storage holding your own assets, remember your cookie choice (ctv_consent, 180 days) and remember which pricing page you arrived through, so that the prices you were shown stay the prices you are offered (ctv_plan_set, 30 days).
• Analytics and Advertising Cookies: Google Analytics for analytics, and the Meta pixel's _fbp and _fbc identifiers for advertising, both subject to your choice in our cookie banner. Whether these are set on arrival or only after you accept depends on where you are. See section 7.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Publishing Ads: To export and publish your campaigns directly from Created.ai to Meta Ads.
• Analytics: To aggregate and visualize your Meta Ad performance data.
• Service Delivery: To operate and maintain platform functionality.
• Optimization: To analyze creative performance and suggest data-driven ad strategies.
• Marketing Communications: To send you product updates, educational content, and promotional emails, until you unsubscribe. See section 6.
• Advertising Measurement: To measure the performance of our own ad campaigns for Created.ai — only with your consent, as described in section 7.
• Compliance: To ensure all platform activities align with Meta's Advertising Standards and Developer Policies.

4. Meta Data Protection & Compliance

Created.ai adheres strictly to the Meta Platform Terms:

• Explicit Publishing: We never publish content to your Meta account without your direct action within the platform.
• No Selling Data: We do not sell, license, or purchase any data obtained from Meta APIs.
• Restriction on AI Training: We do not use your private ad performance data or creative assets to train generalized machine learning models for other users.
• Data Integrity: Meta Platform Data is used solely to provide and improve the advertising services you have requested.

5. How We Share Information

We only share data with:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for secure hosting and Stripe for payment processing, under strict confidentiality terms.
• Analytics & Monitoring Providers: PostHog processes the product usage events described in section 2, and Sentry processes technical error reports, both on our behalf, to help us understand how the Services are used and keep them reliable.
• Website Infrastructure: Our website relies on a few providers to function: Google Fonts delivers the typefaces our pages use, hCaptcha protects our contact forms from automated abuse, and Web3Forms relays contact form submissions to our inbox. In the course of serving these functions such providers may receive the technical data involved in any web request, such as your IP address and browser type.
• Marketing Platform: We use Klaviyo, Inc. as our email marketing platform. Information you provide (such as your name and email address) is stored and processed by Klaviyo on our behalf to send you service and marketing communications. You can review Klaviyo's privacy practices at klaviyo.com/privacy. Klaviyo also receives your subscription/plan details and product usage events (such as account creation or completed generations) to deliver the communications described in section 6.
• Advertising Measurement: With your consent, we share conversion measurement data with Meta Platforms, Inc. as described in section 7. You can review Meta's privacy practices at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

6. Marketing Communications & Your Choices

When you create an account we send you marketing emails about Created.ai — product news, educational content and offers — alongside the transactional emails required to operate the Services (such as sign-in codes, password resets or billing notices). Creating an account is what puts you on that list; there is no separate marketing checkbox at sign-up.

You can stop the marketing emails at any time:

• by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email, or
• by emailing support@created.ai with the subject line "Unsubscribe".

Unsubscribing stops the marketing emails only; transactional emails continue, because they are part of operating your account. It does not affect your access to the Services.

7. Advertising Measurement & Cookie Choices

We advertise Created.ai, and — separately from anything involving your own connected ad accounts — we measure how those campaigns perform. This section describes that measurement; it happens only with your consent, which you give in one place: the cookie banner.

Which of the two applies depends on where you appear to be located, which we infer from your browser's settings, because the applicable laws differ:

• European Union and United Kingdom. The banner appears first, and the analytics and advertising cookies described above are set only for the categories you tick.
• United States. State privacy laws operate on an opt-out basis, so the analytics and advertising cookies are set when you arrive and you may withdraw them at any time using Cookie settings. We honour Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends that signal before you have made a choice, we treat it as an opt-out.

The categories below cover the measurement of our own advertising. They do not cover the product analytics and error monitoring that run inside the application, which are part of operating the Services and are described in section 2.

Accepting a category is what allows the corresponding measurement:

• Analytics. Loads Google Analytics. Declining means it is never loaded.
• Advertising. Loads the Meta pixel, which sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies and reports page views on our site. It also allows us to report certain events from our own servers to Meta's Conversions API — account creation, checkout, purchases, and subscription changes — so we can attribute them to our campaigns. Each report contains a SHA-256-hashed form of your email address, the pixel's cookie identifiers, and the event details (such as the plan and amount). We do not send your name, your creative assets, or your connected ad-account data.

Declining advertising stops both halves: no pixel in your browser, and no further reporting from our servers. When you start a checkout we copy the pixel identifiers and your cookie choice into the payment record, so that later renewals of the same subscription can still be attributed to the campaign you came from; nothing further is collected at that point.

Your choice is stored in a cookie for 180 days, and you can change it at any time:

• open Cookie settings (in the site footer, or in the account menu inside the app) to change or reject the cookie categories, or
• email support@created.ai.

Withdrawal stops future reporting; it does not recall events already delivered to Meta. Meta Platforms, Inc. processes this data as described in its privacy policy.

8. Data Deletion Instructions (Meta Compliance)

In accordance with Meta Platform Terms, Created.ai provides a clear and reliable way for users to request the deletion of their data.

How to Request Deletion of Your Created.ai Data:

If you wish to delete your data or remove Created.ai's access to your Meta account, please follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the App: Log in to your Facebook Account and navigate to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites. Find Created.ai and click Remove.
2. Request Permanent Purge: To permanently delete your Created.ai account and all associated performance data from our servers, send an email to support@created.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request."

Processing Time: We aim to acknowledge deletion requests promptly and to permanently remove the associated data, including cached Meta data and account information, from our active systems within a reasonable period, consistent with applicable law. Residual copies may persist in routine backups for a limited time before being overwritten.

9. Your Rights & Data Retention

• Access & Portability: You may request a copy of your stored data at any time.
• Meta API Cache: We cache performance data for 30 days to ensure platform speed.
• Account Deletion: Upon account deletion, the associated data, including any Meta Platform Data, is permanently erased from our active systems within a reasonable period.
• Sign-in Codes: One-time email codes expire within minutes of being issued and cannot be reused. The log of requesting IP addresses that protects the feature from abuse is kept for as long as needed for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
• Consent Records: Your cookie choice and the time you accepted the Terms are kept for as long as the account exists, as the record of the permissions we are relying on.

10. Data Security

We employ industry-standard safeguards, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and robust encryption at rest on Google Cloud Platform, to protect your business information.
